Yellow Star Jasmine is a hardy vine like plant native to Japan and Korea. Along its winding woody stems are oval, glossy, evergreen leaves. In cooler weather new leaves emerge with an orange-yellow hew, hence the common name Yellow Star. While its not closely related to the true Jasmine family the Minima Asiatic Jasmine blooms a fragrant white flower each spring and summer. This vine can be maintained on trellises and groundcovers can smother weeds. It prefers shaded, well-drained areas, and does not require a lot of fertilization to flourish.
