The Colocasia Black Coral is a hybrid of the families known commonly as the Elephant Ears.
This Colocasia stands out with its deep purple almost black colored leaves that that grow in clumps.
Each leaf is ribbed with thick veins and corrugated characteristics.
The Black Coral adds beautiful color to tropical beds that are in areas with full sun or partial shade.
This plant will not grow very tall and may seasonally bloom a spadix.
This fast growing plant tolerates some cool regions and can be considered an annual or a perennial in warmer regions.
They flourish with moisture and can even grow in shallow ponds.
