Plant Nursery Location

Can I come by the nursery/farm in person?

Root 98 Warehouse is located in Lakeland, Florida. We do not, at this time, have a retail storefront. We are a wholesale-only nursery growing on over 170 acres. Root 98 sells plants online at the retail level. However, our farm is only available to licensed wholesale nursery growers. We are always happy to assist and can answer any questions you may have!

Can you ship citrus or live plants to my state?

CITRUS (undeliverable states):
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) prohibits us from shipping citrus to the following states: Arizona, California, Louisiana, Texas, Alaska and Hawaii.

LIVE PLANTS (undeliverable states):
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) prohibits us from shipping live plants to the following states: Arizona, California, Alaska and Hawaii.

SHIPPING WARRANTY

We take great pride in our unique selection of high quality live plants and ship only the best stock available to our customers. Acceptance of our plants at the time of delivery is considered proof of good health and survivability. Live plants are perishable and subject to variable weather, transport, soil quality, watering, and planting locations. At the time of delivery, please inspect and then open your box(es) immediately and follow our enclosed planting and care instruction sheets.

Every plant is covered by our shipping warranty, meaning we guarantee your plants will be delivered in healthy condition. Cosmetic and minor damage to leaves or parts of the plant that do not affect the plant’s establishment in your landscape may occur during the shipping/delivery process and are not covered by our warranty. Please trim any dried or yellow leaves and new fresh foliage will start growing soon.

If your plant(s) arrive damaged or dead, we will replace it or issue a refund according to our 30-day Return & Refund Policy.

Ground Delivery: 5-7 business days

Express Delivery: 3 business days

Overnight Delivery: 1 business day

Root 98 Warehouse shipping timeframes are based upon availability and apply to orders placed by 10am EST that ship to a physical address within the contiguous U.S. To avoid undue stress to live plants, orders placed Wednesday or later will ship the following Monday.

Please note that we are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes.

We strive to ensure you are completely satisfied with your Root 98 Warehouse purchase experience. We will notify you via email throughout the fulfillment and delivery process keeping you informed of your order status. In the event of a delay, we will notify you within three business days. Orders with multiple items may ship in separate boxes to ensure each plant and/or product is protected during shipping.

CITRUS RESTRICTIONS

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) prohibits us from shipping citrus to the following states: Arizona, California, Louisiana, Texas, and Hawaii.

Products requiring special handling or packaging due to size or perishable nature may incur an additional fee.    

 

Oversized Products

Products that exceed standard UPS, FEDEx, or USPS size requirements may ship via carrier service. We will notate potential delivery delays in the product description and/or email you within 24 hours. Oversized products are not eligible for express or overnight delivery. Please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery.

Oversized products may be unavailable outside the contiguous U.S.

BACKORDERS

We will notate back ordered products in the product description and/or the shopping cart with an approximate ship date.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

Due to varying rules and regulations of each country, certain shipments may require additional inspections, phyto certificates, stamps, or other such documentation prior to shipment. Please contact us at orders@root98warehouse.com if you have any questions.

HOLIDAY ORDERS

Delivery on a specified date may not be possible close to holidays, due to shipping interruptions or delays beyond our control. Please see individual product pages for specific shipping exceptions.

Returns & Refunds

30-DAY RETURN POLICY

Every plant is covered by our shipping warranty, meaning we guarantee your plants will be delivered in healthy condition. Cosmetic and minor damage to leaves or parts of the plant that do not affect the plant’s establishment in your landscape may occur during the shipping/delivery process and are not covered by our warranty. Please trim any dried or yellow leaves and new fresh foliage will start growing soon.

LIVE PLANT REPLACEMENT PROCESS

If your plant(s) arrive damaged or dead, we will replace it or issue a refund based on the following conditions: 

Please contact us at 863-576-4792 or email dayne@root98warehouse.com within 30 days of your order’s delivery. Include in your email: your order number, photos depicting the damage and a description of the issue. We will notate your account and respond promptly.

-       Plants reported within 30 days of delivery, that perish within those 30 days, will receive a replacement or refund. This one-time guarantee is not valid 30 days past the delivery date.

-       Plants returned within 30 days of delivery, in healthy condition, with authorization, will receive a refund. The customer is responsible for return shipping charges.

-       Plants reported after 30 days of delivery are no longer eligible for a replacement or refund.

WHERE IS MY REFUND?

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. 

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

 

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

 

If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at orders@root98warehouse.com (include your order number).

SALE ITEMS

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

EXCHANGES

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at orders@root98warehouse.com (include your order number) to receive a Return Authorization Number (RAN) and then send your item to:

GIFTS

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.  

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he/she will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

 

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

 

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should use a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We can’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item from the shipping company.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

 

Your data is stored through Root 98 Warehouse’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

 

Payment:

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

 

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

 

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

 

If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption.  Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

Here is a list of cookies that we use. We’ve listed them here so you that you can choose if you want to opt-out of cookies or not.

 _shopify_visit, no data held, Persistent for 30 minutes from the last visit, Used by our website provider’s internal stats tracker to record the number of visits

ACCESSIBILITY COMPLIANCE

PURPOSE

 

Root 98 Warehouse is committed to maintaining an accessible environment for persons with disabilities. We will use reasonable efforts to ensure that our policies, practices and procedures governing the provision of our services to persons with disabilities are consistent with the following principles:

 

Services are provided in a way that respects the dignity and independence of persons with disabilities; persons with disabilities are able to benefit from the same services, in the same place and in a similar way as other staff or visitors; and persons with disabilities have opportunities equal to others to obtain, use and benefit from Root 98 Warehouse’s goods or services.

   

DEFINITIONS

 

For the purposes of this policy: "Disability" means:

 

Any degree of physical disability, infirmity, malformation or disfigurement that is caused by bodily injury, birth defect or illness and, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, includes diabetes mellitus, epilepsy, a brain injury, any degree of paralysis, amputation, lack of physical co‐ordination, blindness or visual impediment, deafness or hearing impediment, muteness or speech impediment, or physical reliance on a guide dog or other animal or on a wheelchair or other remedial appliance or device;

 

A condition of mental impairment or a developmental disability; A learning disability, or a dysfunction in one or more of the processes involved in understanding or using symbols or spoken language; A mental disorder; or an injury or disability for which benefits were claimed or received under the insurance plan established under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997.

 

"Service animal" means an animal accompanying a person with disabilities where it is readily apparent that the animal is used by the person for reasons relating to his or her disability or where the person provides a letter from a physician or nurse confirming that he or she requires the animal for reasons relating to the disability. This definition includes guide dogs used by the blind or visually impaired.

 

Support person means, in relation a person with disabilities, another person who accompanies him or her in order to help with communication, mobility, personal care or medical needs or with access to goods and services.

   

APPLICATION OF POLICY

 

This policy applies to Root 98 Warehouse services that are provided to the public. The policy applies to all staff and visitors at Root 98 Warehouse, who are accountable for providing accessibility to persons with disabilities.

   

PROVIDING GOODS AND SERVICES TO PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

 

We are committed to excellence in serving all visitors, including persons with disabilities, and will carry out our functions and responsibilities by:

 

Communicating with persons with disabilities in ways that take into account their disability.

 

Serving persons with disabilities who use assistive devices. Ensuring that persons with disabilities who are accompanied by their guide dog or other service animals are permitted to enter the premises of Root 98 Warehouse with the animal and to keep the animal with them, unless the animal is excluded by law from the premises.

 

Ensuring that persons with disabilities who are accompanied by a support person are permitted to enter Root 98 Warehouse’s premises with their support person. At no time will persons with disabilities who are accompanied by their support person be prevented from having access to their support person while on Root 98 Warehouse premises.

   

SUPPORT PERSONS

 

Person with disabilities may enter Root 98 Warehouse’s premises with a support person and have access to the support person while on the premises. In certain circumstances, Root 98 Warehouse may require persons with disabilities to be accompanied by a support person when on the premises, but only if a support person is necessary to protect the health and safety of the person with disabilities or the health or safety of others on the premises.

   

SERVICE ANIMALS

 

A person with disabilities may be accompanied by a guide dog or other service animal when on Root 98 Warehouse’s premises. In the event that service animals are excluded by law from the premises or a part thereof (e.g. an area where food is being prepared), Root 98 Warehouse will provide other resources or support to enable the person with disabilities to access the services and goods offered by Root 98 Warehouse.

   

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY DISRUPTION

 

Root 98 Warehouse will notify the public in the event of a planned or unexpected disruption in the facilities or services usually used by persons with disabilities. This notice will include information about its anticipated duration, and a description of alternative facilities or services, if available. Notice will be posted on the doors of the device (i.e. elevator door), or communicated by such method as is reasonable in the circumstances.

   

TRAINING FOR STAFF

 

Root 98 Warehouse will train its staff and other individuals who provide services to the public on Root 98 Warehouse’s behalf on the provision of its services to persons with disabilities. This policy will also be shared as soon as practicable with new hires. Root 98 Warehouse’s training will include the following topics:

 

The purposes of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 and the requirements of the customer service standard;

 

How to interact and communicate with persons with various types of disabilities; How to interact with persons with disabilities who use an assistive device or require the assistance of a guide dog, service animal or a support person; How to use or access the equipment or devices available on Root 98 Warehouse’s premises or otherwise that may help with the provision of services to persons with disabilities; What to do if a person with a particular type of disability is having difficulty in accessing Root 98 Warehouse’s goods and services; and this policy.

 

Root 98 Warehouse will provide training on an ongoing basis when changes are made to Root 98 Warehouse’s policies, practices and procedures governing the provision of services to persons with disabilities.

   

FEEDBACK PROCESS

 

Root 98 Warehouse welcomes any feedback regarding the methods we use to provide services to persons with disabilities. The VP of Human Relations will review and assess all feedback received with respect to Root 98 Warehouse’s accessibility practices and policies. If the feedback is in the nature of a complaint, the comment(s) or allegation(s) will be investigated, unless they are made in bad faith, or are frivolous or vexatious. When investigating complaints, those staff who directly interacted with the complainant or those who would typically interact with the complainant, if any, will be asked to comment on the allegation(s) made in the complaint. After reviewing and investigating a complaint, the VP of Human Relations will provide a written response to the individual who provided the feedback. Responses shall be provided within a reasonable amount of time and will depend on the complexity of the issues raised.

   

MODIFICATIONS TO THIS POLICY

 

Modifications to this or other policies Changes will not be made to this policy unless the impact of the changes on persons with disabilities has been considered. Any Root 98 Warehouse policy that does not respect and promote the dignity and independence of persons with disabilities will be modified or removed.

REQUESTS FOR AODA COMPLIANCE DOCUMENTS

 

Upon request, Root 98 Warehouse shall provide a copy of this policy to any person. When a request for this policy is received, Root 98 Warehouse will provide the document or information in a format that takes into account the requestor’s disabilities.
